Regional Technical Sales Representative

Charlotte, NC

Our Technical Outside Sales Representative is responsible for developing new business with existing and new accounts. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years successful selling experience of electronic components or assemblies. The candidate must also have a proven stable and successful work history with a desire to transition to a new position with upward potential. In addition, the ideal candidate must be ambitious, self motivated and see this as a long term opportunity. .

Primary Responsibilities: Establish, maintain and develop business relationships with customers in their assigned accounts to enhance the potential for meeting the objectives of maximum profitability and growth through effective sales and service.  Plan and organize an ongoing sales strategy derived from defined revenue and profit targets.  Analyze customer needs and interests in order to meet their overall expectations regarding service, inventory and pricing.  Make regular sales calls, both in person or through electronic means to all existing and new customers. Assume the lead position in the resolution of customer issues. Review account performance and make adjustments as needed. Communicate sales effort with sales management, inside sales, accounts receivable, warehouse, purchasing and upper management. Keep current of products, applications, market conditions and competitive activities.

Qualifications: 2 or 4 year college degree preferred. The ideal candidate will have two or more years of direct selling experience of electronic components or assemblies and relevant experience in demand creation. Must have strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to determine how and what a customer needs. Must have excellent time management skills, demonstrate the ability to multi-task and be capable of paying attention to details.
